Dabi, our 1-year-old basenji prince, meets his little sister Prisca (a princess, of course) for the first time.

It was around midnight on March 17, 2021 when my husband got home from the airport with Prisca. At first, Dabi didn’t even know that my husband was home. I’d had the water running in the kitchen and Dabi didn’t hear Dave’s truck.

Then when Dabi DID realize Dave was here he was so overcome with the scents coming from Prisca’s puppy carrier that he didn’t even notice that SHE was here. (The carrier held a marrow bone, a wool ball, and Prisca’s toy and blanket. I’m sure to Dabi those things all smelled great!)

When he did finally notice Prisca, Dabi was completely overjoyed.
