Hey everyone, it's Matt here, and today I'm diving into how you can snag that coveted blue tick on Twitter, now known as the X platform. If you haven't already, give me a follow at Matt A Crawford.

You'll notice I've got the blue badge on my profile, something that, back in the day, was reserved for big companies or famous folks. But things have changed since Elon Musk took over.

Now, anyone can get the blue tick by paying a monthly or yearly fee, which we'll get into shortly. There are also some membership benefits that come with it, which I think you'll find pretty interesting.

So, if you're on the X platform and you see a profile without the blue tick, like my other account here, getting verified is pretty straightforward. There's a "Get Verified" option you can click on, leading you to the payment information.

You've got two main choices: an annual plan, costing about £840 per month (which is roughly $10 a month or $120 annually in the US), or you can opt for a monthly payment of £960. If you're testing the waters, the monthly option might be more appealing since there's no big upfront cost.

For those who want even more perks, there's a Premium Plus option, which is pricier but includes additional benefits like enhanced AI features and a larger reply boost, which supposedly increases your visibility in replies. Though, I'm not entirely convinced it's as impactful as they claim, but your experience might vary.

Once you've decided between the annual and monthly plans, or if you're splurging on Premium Plus, you just hit subscribe and pay. The process is pretty simple and usually goes through Stripe for payment processing.

From my experience with my main account, it took about 1-2 days for the blue tick to appear after verification, but again, this could vary for you. Hopefully, this guide sheds some light on how to get that blue tick on your Twitter, ahem, X platform profile.

It's an interesting option for those looking to boost their online presence.
