Blackhorse L39 with X45 Turbine

This jet is very light construction using all balsa and ply. Designed for a 90mm EDF, it is a perfect choice for a 45 size turbine, in this case, a trusty Xicoy X45. It is not a small model either, at 1.86m long, yet only weights 4.4kgs and with it's large scale wing gives a very lightly loaded jet, perfect! I have a Unilight LED light set plus a 3 axis gyro, which makes it fly super smooth, and plan on fitting a smoke system soon, as well. One warning though, do not use the supplied spar, it WILL bend, possibly resulting in a total loss!! The wing is huge, so alot of force on it doing aerobatics. So I fitted a heavy duty carbon spar, with a another one fitted inside and then cynoed. I've had many flights on this jet now, and it is has become one of my favourites, plus it's big enough for a P60 or even the new X90 turbine. I filmed this flight with a hat mounted Runcam 2 HD camera, not ideal, but please watch in full screen and HD, makes seeing it a little bit better.
