In this video, I will show you how to enable Screen Lock and Google Find My Device on Oppo Reno6. This is a must-have security feature because if your phone gets lost or stolen, you can still:
✔️ Make it ring loudly even in Silent mode
✔️ Track its exact location
✔️ Lock or erase data remotely
✔️ Help police trace it with proof of location

Why is this important?

In Pakistan and especially Balochistan, when bikes are snatched, phones also get stolen with them.

With Find My Device, your phone works like a tracker.

Police can use the live location to take action.


Requirements:

1. Google (Gmail) account signed in on your Reno6.


2. Internet connection (Mobile Data or Wi-Fi).


3. Location (GPS) turned ON.


4. Find My Device enabled in settings.


5. Screen lock (PIN/Pattern/Password/Fingerprint) activated.



Step-by-step Guide:

1. Enable Screen Lock

Go to Settings → Security → Screen lock.

Set up PIN / Pattern / Password (Fingerprint optional).

2. Turn on Find My Device

Go to Settings → Google → Security → Find My Device.

Toggle it ON and allow required permissions.

3. Enable Location Services

Go to Settings → Location and switch it ON.

For best accuracy, set Location mode to High Accuracy.

4. Test from Another Device

Log in with the same Gmail account on another phone or PC.

Visit: findmydevice.google.com

Select your device → Tap Play Sound → Your phone will ring at full volume even if on Silent mode!

You can also lock or erase the phone remotely.

5. Help Police with Proof

Take a screenshot of the live location and share it with your nearest police station.

This location history can help track stolen phones.

Extra Safety Tips:

Always keep a backup Gmail account and recovery email.

Enable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) for WhatsApp and banking apps.

Keep sensitive data backed up securely.


What if the phone is offline?

Last known location will appear when it was online.

As soon as the phone connects to the internet, it will update automatically.

Meanwhile, change all important account passwords and block your SIM.
