HALF MOON BAY...BETTER THAN PEBBLE BEACH?/PART lll

This 2 man scramble was pretty fun and a nice change of pace for Mike and I. These Nor Cal Boys started off slow but picked it up a bit down the stretch. The Ocean Couse at Half Moon Bay was an absolute joy to play and we can't wait to come back and check out the Old Course. The links style track was not overly difficult and gives you a chance to score if you play your cards right. A Special thanks to my man Desmond for setting up the round for us, and lets gives an extra thumbs up for all those 340 yard drives by Darren. Last but not least THANKS to the Ritz Carlton for letting us showcase Mr. Hills master piece of a course.

The Ocean Course opened in 1997, and was designed by renowned landscape architect Arthur Hills in San Francisco’s traditional "links style” design delivering "firm and fast” fairways. The wispy native grasses accenting the tees and the plaintive wail of the bagpipers who play at weekend sundown, join forces to transport players and guests alike back to the game’s origins in Scotland. In 2008, the course is one of the best courses in California and hosted the LPGA Samsung Golf Championship.
