Highball Extra 4014 East! A Union Pacific Big Boy in Chicagoland

On September 8th and 9th, 2024, I took a trip to Illinois to get footage of Union Pacific's world-famous Big Boy 4014. It was a fantastic and very successful trip! I have to say, this is some of the best footage I have ever captured!

On Sunday, September 8th, I went to the Union Pacific display in Rochelle, Illinois. There were a ton of people there and I was very encouraged with the future of the steam program.

Monday, September 9th was an early morning for me. I was trackside by around 8 am to catch 4014 coming out of Rochelle, Illinois. The chase was on after that, with my day ending just after the servicing stop in Watseka, Illinois.
