Do you know the first human death ever recorded?

Before this moment, no man had ever died. Death was unknown, yet sin had already entered the world.
Cain became jealous of his brother Abel, and in his anger, he took Abel’s life. This was the first time mankind witnessed death — not through old age, but through murder — the terrible fruit of sin.

The Bible teaches:
“For by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin” (Romans 5:12).

Through Adam, death entered the world.
Through Cain, death was seen for the first time.

Yet Scripture does not end in despair.
The first death revealed the curse of sin, but it also pointed forward — to one day, another innocent life, not taken in hatred, but given in love.

Abel’s blood cried out from the ground:
“The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground” (Genesis 4:10).

But the New Testament reveals a greater truth:
“And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel” (Hebrews 12:24).

Abel’s death spoke of sin and judgment.
Christ’s death speaks of mercy, forgiveness, and eternal life.

As Scripture declares:
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:55)

Death came first — but life triumphs last.
Through Jesus Christ, the sting of death is removed, and eternal hope is given to all who trust in Him.
