Smoove would often share short stories with John Turrell about his father, John Watson, who passed away a few years ago. Some of these stories were funny tales and truths about his father while growing up in the 1970s and 80s. John Turrell decided to craft these insights and stories into lyrics to create a beautiful tribute to John Watson himself. The music is powerful and intensely emotional, backed by a string quartet and featuring a blistering jazz guitar solo from Lloyd Wright! Coincidentally, Smoove had recently discovered a box of old negatives that his father had left to him. Smoove developed the negatives and discovered many beautiful images taken by his father in his youth while courting Smoove's mother, Lesley Watson. These images seemed like a perfect match to the song as a backdrop.
