Johnny Cash 1967: A Night at Nickajack Cave

Описание к видео Johnny Cash 1967: A Night at Nickajack Cave

It was the mid-late months of 1967 when Johnny Cash made his voyage to Chattanooga, Tennessee. There he would locate a cave he quite frequently explored called Nickajack Cave. He had stayed up 2 or three days in total by the time he had arrived at Chattanooga. He began to cry.

Unwilling to allow June to see the state he has gotten himself into, foggy minded, he began his journey inside with his intent to never come out. He had said that he would go as far as his flashlight would allow him, then stop and lay down. He had brought with him a pencil and paper, hoping to leave one final message. That message being, that there's always another song to sing. His final message would be a song describing the feeling of not being appreciated, the need to feel happy for even the smallest things. Even if those things aren't a mighty accomplishment.

In the midst of his suicide attempt, Johnny says he endured a spiritual experience. It helped him realize that not only was it not his time yet, but that he could and had to kick his drug habits.
