Rokuro Enmado is a boy who was a powerful aspiring exorcist, until a tragic incident caused him to abandon the profession. One day, as fate would have it, he meets a mysterious girl named Benio Adashino, approximately his age and a well-known exorcist from the East, who will not only be his exorcist partner but also his future fiancée, since, according to the prophecy, Rokuro and Benio are the "Twin Star Exorcists", and are destined to have a son who will be the ultimate exorcist, capable of getting rid of all evil spirits, or Kegare, in the world.
