📍 Sleeping Giant State Park – Hamden, Connecticut

We explored Sleeping Giant State Park on December 28, 2025, the day after a fresh snowfall — and it completely transformed the hike.
We parked in the furthest lot, followed the trail down to the stream, wrapped our way around the old quarry, and then climbed up the side of the Blue Trail all the way to the summit.

The trail was icy in spots, slow and careful at times, but once we reached the top, the views made every step worth it. Snow covered the ground, the trees were quiet, and the overlook felt like a reward you had to earn.

This video includes a mix of drone footage and iPhone clips from the day, capturing the winter landscape, the climb, and those final views from the top.

If you’re looking for a winter hike that’s challenging, peaceful, and absolutely worth the effort — this is one to put on your list.
