Описание к видео Wastewater Microbiology and Process Control - EOCP2022

The wastewater treatment process is a biological process. The microorganisms are responsible for removing the organic pollutants from the wastewater therefore it is important to understand the conditions that allow them to do their best work and to do our best to create these conditions. My motto is “If you treat the bugs right, they will treat your water right.” This presentation will discuss the role of bacteria, protozoa and metazoa in the treatment process along with the conditions that allow them the do their best work of removing nutrients from the wastewater. How to anticipate potential treatment system upsets and troubleshoot and correct existing treatment system problems will also be discussed.

Our conference provides learning opportunities for water and wastewater sector professionals on innovative solutions and new insights to foster the prudent management of water and wastewater in British Columbia and Yukon.
