Seal -Kiss From A Rose (Bass Cover w/ Bass Tabs)

Hey all, back from a brief overcrowded schedule and backproblems with a song I've wanted to do for ages but never really knew how to work around the tuning issue (read below), but I think I made it work. Far from my best cover, but I hope you enjoy!

The Tuning Thing:

The original song, as it is on the album and streaming platforms, was recorded by tuning all instruments to roughly 428.5Hz, instead of the now more common (in popular Western music at least) 440Hz. If you want to play along, there are two obvious solutions to this: you either match your instrument to the backing track, or you match the backing track to the instrument, so you pitch the song up to match the standard 440Hz common tuning, but it makes the song sound chipmunky.

For the sake of keeping the original song intact, I recorded my bass in 440Hz tuning and then pitchshifted it down -46 cents so it matches the original song. This means that if you want to play along with this cover, you'll have to retune your instrument or use a good pitch shifter. For the backing track/play yourself without bass videos, I've uploaded both the original tuning version, and one pitched up so it matches 440Hz tuning, which is easier I guess.
