Rescuing my Passion for Photography

SCOTLAND (TORRIDON) WORKSHOP OCTOBER WEEK 2: Sorry but cancelled due to the current Covid-19 rules.

It happens to us all, but it just shows that we care about our photography and our profession. Having that feeling that you're losing the passion for something that has brought you so much joy is a dreadful experience and can initially put your mind in a place that makes it difficult to see the answers. Peaks and troughs are par for the course but this particular trough felt more dangerous - thankfully I was able to nip it in the bud. I decided to share a brief overview as perhaps you've also had a similar experience recently. I found it was best not to fight it too hard, but allow myself some time to reconnect with what's fundamentally important in my work. I figured that a quick fix might result in a short-term solution, so allow yourself the time that you need to figure out the root cause and what might need to change or how you need to adapt. I try to look at these testing times as an opportunity to emerge stronger.
