The Dacia Duster has quickly made its mark on the SUV market in the UK, purely because it’s so damn cheap. It’s not a bad all-round car either, though you’ll need to buy into its basic charm, rather than have any high expectations of its capabilities.

The range of its rivals is vast, from small MPVs such as the Kia Venga to the compact crossover Nissan Qashqai, which is similarly sized. And the Duster certainly does well in those stakes, with a decent amount of space and comfort for all passengers, while the boot is notably bigger than the popular Qashqai.
