Hogue Mongrip Rubber Grips: Ruger SP101 Installation

Review and Install of the Hogue Mongrip Rubber Handgun Grip, for the Ruger SP101 Revolver line (2017 5783).. This is Hogue model 81000 and I am doing an install on my rare Ruger SP101 in 9mm with model KSP-921.

Compared to the Ruger factory hard plastic grips that came with the SP101 Revolver, these are a definite improvement for handling and comfort, and a must-have upgrade for the Ruger SP101 line of revolvers. The Hogue Monogrip replacement grips also come with integrated Crimson Trace lasers as well, but is significantly more expensive than the standard Hogue Rubber Grips for the Ruger SP101 Revolver.

Ruger as of 2017 has reintroduced the Ruger SP101 in 9mm, with the Model 5783. It has a 2.25 inch stainless steel barrel, satin stainless finish on frame, cylinder, and barrel. It has a five round capacity in 9mm Luger (9x19) and can be loaded and fired with or without the use of moonclips.
