1973 Dodge Charger Momma's Mopar : Part 2

Описание к видео 1973 Dodge Charger Momma's Mopar : Part 2

Now that we have introduced you to 73ChargerChic and her ride, you've seen the tear down of the donor motor, and have a basic idea of the direction we are taking this build it's time to move forward! First step, tackling upgraded the big block monster under the hood!

When this car was originally built in 1973 it was a 318 cubic inch small block car, some time over the past 20 something years it was upgraded to a late generation mopar 400 cubic inch big block. While this DOES give it a much more enjoyable rumble and considerably more torque than it had from the factory a 400 was NEVER known as much of a performance motor so we've begun the process to get this monster running as fast as it looks like it should.

After the tear down of our donor motor the heads were sent off to Joe at Performance Research to be rebuilt and worked, then the hunt began for a rotating assembly to put inside. With some outstanding help from our friend Mike at M&M Headservice in Delaware Ohio who found us a good condition 440 mopar crank and a complete set of matching rods we are in business to begin our 451 cubic inch poor mans mopar stroker kit!
