No Frills but it does the trick! Jarlink Electric Pencil Sharpener Review

I'm not fussy, all I want is one electric pencil sharpener that will shapen everything from my Prismacolor and shinny budget pencils all the way up to my chunky Derwent pencils without breaking the lead and I want it to be fast. That's not a lot to ask right? Either a sharpener works well but is slow, or it's fast but only takes my small pencils or it has all of my requirements but it is expensive. Not the case with the pencil sharpener I am reviewing today. Also, it is compact so it doesn't take up a lot of room (and I only need one!)

Pros:
*Takes all of my artist colored pencils 6-8 mm. My Derwent Drawing pencils were a snug fit but they sharpened perfectly. This will not take chunky kids jumbo pencils.
*Fast
*Cheap
*No breakage yet
*Compact
*Will take a power cord (included) or batteries

Cons:
*No auto stop (it says it does but I think it means it shops when you stop pushing on the pencils. Sharpen for 3 seconds for a dull point to 5 to 7 seconds for a sharp one, if you keep pushing the pencil in it will keep sharpening!) Honestly, I don't mind being able to adjust this way because other "adjustable point sharpeners" didn't work great for me. You just need to remember to count or check the point.

Bottom line, it's no-frills but it does the trick. I like it and recommend it in the under $20 range.
