What if, this time, Sonic actually arrived in time — stopping the blue ring and saving everyone before Sonic.exe could absorb them and turn them into empty, wandering shells?

But based on what I’ve seen, I think the story might be taking a different direction: the Sonic we’re controlling could be a Sonic from another universe, one that Sonic.exe has already completely destroyed.
Now he’s traveling back in time, trying to set things right and save the ones he once lost.
