Sarah Garvey joined us in studio for an interview about her journey in leather. You will find some highlights below that you can skip to.

Sarah is a full-time leather artist specializing in intricately tooled purses and accessories. A midwest-born and classically trained musician, she fell into the world of leather while living on remote ranches across the southwest.

Since 2008, Sarah has supported her family by designing and creating pieces under her brand, Western Skies Handmade. Her unique style draws inspiration from her varied past as well as the rich heritage and beauty of the desert she now calls home. Self-taught, Sarah's distinct tooling style elevates traditional craft with a fresh blend of classic and modern designs. She hopes her work will inspire future generations to continue the legacy of tooled leather artistry in their own special ways. Sarah lives in Arizona with her two children where she continues to create custom pieces and share her knowledge.
