Dayseeker at The Tivoli Brisbane 2024 with Inertia & Reliqa

Wild night. Making it an all ages gig was maybe the wrong call for a Thursday School night. Kids who looked to be just breaking the age of 10 were in attendance. It took seconds before the 1st of a dozen F-Bombs was dropped.

INERTIA: Vocalist was and I quote "yolked". He was crook but thankfully just came through for tonight's gig. INERTIA are really good.

RELIQA: Bloody hell. Certainly earned my respect. The guitarist dislocated his knee only days prior but still got out there and jammed for 30 minutes.

Also, the vocalist lost her voice prior and did not play. I've never experienced that at a gig before. It was just an instrumental set. They did so well. Have to dive into their catalogue now. It was a unique but welcome experience.

Landon Tewers: Nothing against the bloke and his band. After the previous 2 acts this was way too different a sound and speed for me. Talented for sure but I just couldn't get into it.

Another point is that his act was the least appropriate for an all ages gig. Not his fault of course. Don't know how it was deemed that all ages were allowed to see L.T. live.

Dayseeker: I heard the rave reviews. It lived up to the hype. Holy moley they are absolutely sensational live. I'd 100% see them again.

Unfortunately, there was a Male vs. Female physical fight during the encore. I helped break it up. I don't know what started it or who's fault it was but yes the male did punch the female twice. Couple of other blokes grappled him away as I helped the young woman to her feet. Was the only true sour note to the whole night.

The venue staff were good. It was a really good night.
