Andy Hamburger has created a career that currently sits him as one of the DC region’s most talented, most revered, most sought after, kindest and easiest to work with drummers the area has ever seen. I mean just to look at the bands he is even just currently with…like Jules & The Agreeables (Juliana McDowell), Holly Montgomery Band, Carly Harvey's Kiss and Ride, Anthony Swampdog Clark, Bobby Thompson, Classified Frequency, Gathering Gloom (a Cure tribute band), Soul Shake (a Delaney and Bonnie tribute band with Jenny/Bobby/Sonny), Mike Kelley, The Bill Pappas Project, Shotgun Highway and more. Unreal. And among a host of other slowly re-opening venues, Andy recently played the Birchmere at the titled Memories of Those We’ve Lost , alongside people like Patty Reese, Daryl Davis, Dan Hovey, Russ Rodgers, Angela Hill, Deletta Gillespie, Jeff Jones, John Jamison and others. His resume is something to view in awe, I mean, along with those bands and artists I just mentioned there are countless others he also plays with or has played with, including big name R & B bands and others, and there’s no end in sight to this prolific run Andy is on.
