Early morning storms across New South Wales have now been named the culprit for Wagga Wagga’s power outage.

A spokesperson for Essential Energy confirmed the outage was caused by a “fault on the Trangrid transmission line” and the power supply was isolated to keep community members safe.

However, increased temperatures still maintain a firm grip on dwindling energy supplies while millions of Australians aim to keep cool during this week’s heatwave.
