Airzone main controllers

Описание к видео Airzone main controllers

On this video we show the Airzone Zoning systems main controller for products Cen, Flexa 2.0 and Innobus Pro32.

Main controller presentation
Main controllers are the brain of the Airzone Zoning systems. Every main controller a very alike, but they have significant differences as shown next. Following components can be distinguished:
• 3 expansion ports for the connection of up to 6 zone wired thermostats and other expansion elements. These 3 ports are present on every system main controllers,
• Wireless antenna and linking button, present only at Flexa 2.0 main controllers,
• Configuration microswitch, used for air-to-water installations, only present at Innobus Pro32 main controllers,
• Integration port and Communication Gateway port, present on every main controller
• Motorized dampers and grilles control outputs, present on Airzone Cen and Flexa 2.0 main controllers,
• Alarm input, return air probe input, Controlled Ventilation output, On/Off AC Unit indication output and power supply input.

Each hardware configuration set are defined according to configurations and functionalities present on each zoning system.

Connection on the main controller

Every connection must be done whit no power supply.

For every connection (except power supply) we recommend you to use Airzone cables or other multi-wire cable with specs as indicated in the product installation sheets.

Every Airzone connectors are aerial so that you can pick up the connector and accomplish the cable plugging easily. It is highly recommended to label each cable so that you do not get messed up.

Be cautious to not leave any false contact, not leave uncovered wire out of the connector and ensure that every wire is firmly fixed. See product installation sheets in order to respect polarity.

Cable mesh must be connected on the expansion port and on any other element that is powered up by the bus. If the module has external power supply input do not connect neither bus supply wires nor cable mesh.

Main controller indications

Once every connection is completed and main controller is power supplied, it shows following indications:
• (D11) Main controller power supply LED that has be steady lighted, (D3) Main controller activity LED that has to be blinking and (D4 and D5) Expansion bus communication LEDs that must be blinking any time a wired element is connected. These indications are present on every main controller.
• Wireless communication LEDs are only present on the Flexa 2.0 main controllers:
o (D19) One is red-lit during the association period for wireless thermostats,
o (D18) another is red-lit in the case of having at least one wireless thermostat linked,
o (D10)Switches from off to on any time a wireless information frame is received,
• (D1 and D2) Integration bus communication LEDs that are blinking when port is connected. LED D1 is also used for exception codes indications.
• (D8 and D9) Communication gateway LED that will blink when it is connected and communicating with the gateway.
• (D36 to D74) Opening and closing motor operation LEDs that will light up during the operation period. These LEDs are present on Airzone Cen and Flexa 2.0 main controllers.
• (D7) Mechanical Ventilation indication LED, lit up fixed anytime the working mode differs from Stop; (D6) AC unit On/Off indication LED, lit up anytime there is need of the AC unit to be working and (D11) power supply LED. These three LEDs are present on every main controller.
