So retailers are turning to drastic measures like chartering vessels, renting shipping containers in order to overcome the shipping crisis.

Target, Home Depot, Costco, Dollar tree, Coca Cola and Ikea are only some of the big retail giants that took matters into their own hands.

The trend of retailers sailing their own vessels was dubbed Containergeddon.
