Made In Japan.

Akai AJ-360 H radio tape recorder. Manufacturer: Akai Electric Corp. Ltd., Japan.

An integrated version of a mono cassette recorder and radio frequency stage, as well as a mono power amplifier. The radio unit is suitable for receiving medium-, short- and ultra-short-wave radio programs. The devices that were put on the market in Hungary were equipped with the OIRT standard URH band. The reception of the radio program is supported by a built-in ferrite antenna on AM bands and a telescopic antenna on FM bands. The recording output of the tape recorder is set to the optimal level by an automatic level control circuit, there is no possibility to manually control the output. With the mango unit, you can record with the built-in electret microphone, from its own radio frequency unit, as well as from an external program source. Audio frequency input and output connections are according to NAB and DIN standards. The recording mode of the tape recorder is indicated by the lighting of a red LED. The simultaneous operation of the radio unit and the tape recording is facilitated by the oscillator switch that can be used when receiving AM bands, which is used to cancel the "whistle" caused by interference. This eliminates the overlap between the frequency created by the premagnetizer oscillator of the tape recorder and the AM center frequency. An automatic tape end switch is built into the mechanics of the tape recorder, which switches the device off from recording/playback mode. It also has a quick channel search function.
