What PRODUCES THE FLUID IN YOUR BRAIN and SPINAL CORD? - [CSF PRODUCTION]

Описание к видео What PRODUCES THE FLUID IN YOUR BRAIN and SPINAL CORD? - [CSF PRODUCTION]

The Fluid in the brain and Spinal cord also referred to as Cerebral Spinal Fluid [CSF] is produced by organs and structures within the Nervous System.
The complex, responsible for the production of this fluid is called the CHOROID PLEXUS. A complex arrangement of the cells called ependymal cells, pial mater invaginations, fenestrated capillaries and the basement membrane which collectively forms the BLOOD BRAIN BARRIER [BBB].
The top Ependymal cells are held together by a specialised type of junctions called TIGHT JUNCTION, this layer with its junctions forms the BLOOD CSF BARRIER [B-CSFB].
The barriers creTe a selectively permeable lining that controls the movement of substances between blood and the CSF compartments.
Enjoy the simplified version and look out for the CSF flow after production.
