ELEVATING YOUTH WITH SKILLS IN RHINO CAMP REFUGEE SETTLEMENT

Windle International Uganda in partnership with International Labour Organisation (ILO) is implemented an Integrated i-UPSHIFT project in Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement. Integrated UPSHIFT was a youth social innovation and entrepreneurship program designed to build skills and opportunities for young people who are disadvantaged due to poverty, war, disability and ethnic social discrimination. The project empowered young people with the skills and resources needed to identify social problems in their community and design sustainable solutions to address them. WIU disbursed seeding funding to 36 groups to improve their ideas with a chance to pitch their innovations for 5,000 US dollars in additional funding.
