Following on from the previous V8 Pilot video, where I explain why I am switching back to the original Ford ignition & carb arrangements, in this video I take a closer look at potential problems that I found within the electronic ignition distributor that I removed, and finish off the wiring and advance/retard pipework to the replacement points-ignition distributor, as fitted to this classic flathead Ford V8 wayyyy back in 1950.
Will this conversion back to standard reap any benefits? Will the Ford V8 Pilot ever run again?
As I've said before, none of these tinkering-in-the-garage videos are necessarily a recommended way of going about things, just a record (for my own benefit often) of some of the work undertaken here in our home garage.
