Описание к видео Bait-Tech | Catch Report | Partridge Lakes | Dave Williams

It’s time for a Dave’s diaries from the bank. Dave Williams had a special day over at the fabulous Partridge Lakes Fishery and made it count with and exclusive net session.
Well done Dave, 🐟🐟
I had a session on Gold Lake at Partridge Lakes near Warrington after being invited on for the day by fellow Bait-Tech and DT Floats angler Anthony Cooper, with the lake fishing very well it would have been crazy to pass up an opportunity to fish it and here is how I fished it on the day.
Picking out peg 10 for the session i was happy here as I had fished the same peg a good few years ago and had a very good day. I wanted to start the session fishing for silvers as there is a massive head of them in the lake with Roach, Perch, Chubb, Skimmers, Bream and a whole host of others too, but I wanted to target the Skimmers as I knew they go to a decent size and looked forward to catching a few for a bit of a change, but I did have a plan B if things did not go to plan and that was fishing for the resident f1s and Carp where both grow to a huge size for match tactics, so as regards to tactics for the day I wanted to keep things simple and not to over complicate things as there are that many fish to target you just get lost in what you are doing so with that in mind I mixed some Bait-Tech Pro Natural Bream groundbait which binds together perfectly for the deeper water and i added a hand full of Corn and also a handful of Bait-Tech Nano Carp and Coarse pellets too, (I didn’t want to go too heavy with any kind of fishmeal but with knowing the silvers feed on pellets too and I was sure they wanted a bit in with the mix) and I intended to fish Corn on the hook over the cupped in groundbait mix. My back up plan consisted of a method feeder intending to use the groundbait and also a separate line on hard Bait-Tech Carp and Coarse 6mm Pellets feeding the same 2mm pellets and a few Nano pellets over the top, I also set up a shallow topkit too.
Setting up a few topkits just to cover all angles just in case things did not go to plan
1,Long 13m Groundbait line in 6 foot of water using Corn, 0.5g DTFloats Jabba
2, long 13m Hard Pellet Line again 6 foot of water and again 0.5g DTFloats Jabba
3, Long Shalla using a 0.2g DTFloats Jigga 6mm Hard Carp and Coarse Pellet
4, 10ft feeder rod using the grounbait mix on a method feeder with Corn on the hook
Started off buy cupping 3 full cups in at 13m but just loose and not in a hard ball as the bottom is very silty (I just wanted the groundbait to settle on top of the silt) and left it to settle in for 30 minutes but straight away it was obvious there was fish in the swim as there was a lot of feed bubbles hitting the surface but sat on my hands for a bit then finally shipped out over the baited area and the float was all over the place but not going under, came a tad shallower but still the same issue, moved the float back to the original depth but still no positive bites, messed around with the shotting pattern shipped out again but instead of a whole grain of corn I squeezed out the kernel leaving just the skin and I was in straight away with my first fish of the day a nice Rudd, I had noticed the feed bubbles had stopped so I fed a smaller amount of groundbait and noticed just the odd bubble now and the bites where more positive by using just the corn skin, I managed a few more Rudd some lovely Roach and a couple of nice Skimmers up to 3lb all falling to the corn skin, I had around 10lb in the net and the bites just died, no bubbles or any indication, popped the long Hard topkit on at 13m and had a little go but even on that I could not buy a bite. I noticed while on the Pellet line there was a lot of debris and scum on the surface and I thought I seen a few swirls in and around the area so I popped the Shalla kit on and started feeding 6mm Carp and Coarse Pellets over the top put the Jigga into action and to my surprise I hooked my first F1 with the depth set around 18 inches, well like I said earlier I set up a few extra kits just in case and to be fair for the next 2 hours I never looked back on the Jigga line as F1 after F1 snaffled up the 6mm hard pellets falling through the scum on the surface I did have another try on both long lines but nothing, it was like the shop had closed for the day on the deck but the F1s where willing to feed shalla and after 2 hours I estimated I had around 50lb of F1s and 10lb of Silvers to finish a lovely days fishing on Gold lake.
Gold Lake is the member’s water at Partridge lakes which has plenty of yearly tickets available to purchase online via www.partridgelakes.co.uk, a big thank you to the staff for letting me drop a net in too for the session.
Tight Lines
Dave.
