Описание к видео Gio. B. Gervasio - Sonata in D by Sebastiaan de Grebber, mandolin, and Eva van den Dool, piano.

Sonata in D Maggiore for mandolin and piano by Giovanni Battista Gervasio (1725 - 1785) performed by the Dutch Mandolin and Piano Duo Sebastiaan de Grebber & Eva van den Dool.
The Sonata has the following movements; Allegro -- Larghetto grazioso - Allegro.

This video was made during a chamber concert organized by the Culturele Kring (Cultural Circle) in Roden (Netherlands), March 25th, 2012.

Sebastiaan de Grebber studied the mandolin under the guidance of Alex Timmerman at the music school De Muzerie and the ArtEZ Music Highschool/Conservatory in Zwolle (Netherlands), in Italy at the Conservatorio C. Pollini in Padova, with the Italian mandolinist Mr. Ugo Orlandi, and at the Messiaen Academie/Highschool for the Arts in Zwolle. To complete his music studies with Alex Timmerman at the Messiaen Academie Sebastiaan gave a final concert after which the jury, enlarged for the occasion with Maestro Ugo Orlandi of the Conservatorio C. Pollini, unanimously granted him the highest possible predicate: Master of music with distinction.

In this video de Grebber plays an 'Embergher' 5bis Roman Concert Mandolin made by Luigi Embergher's successor Domenico Cerrone.

Enjoy!
