According to shashtras(Scriptures) there are 5 Kailash parvats and Mani Mahesh is one of the 5 kailash parvats it is also known as bharmourie kailash
,Kailash Manimahesh is located in Chamba a district of Himachal pradesh a State of India to visit kailash one has to come to chamba town most of the people those are not from Himachal they come to Pathankot in Punjab first by bus, train or other transportation and then they head to Chamba then from Chamba one has to go to Bharmour town which is about 63Km from Chamba and then from Bharmour to Harsar,
Harsar is a place from where Manimahesh parvat climbing or tracking begins it is about a 13Km climb to reach Manimahesh but it is not an easy to do task because rout is not like a regular road as you see in Vaishno devi but it is like all not easy to walk road in some places there are lot of rocks and steep climbs for a first time visitor it may take 15 -18 hours to reach Manimahesh so to begin the climb one must make sure to start climbing early in the morning like 4 am to 5am so that by after noon you would cover more then half the path or you wont be able to make on day one

One can visit Manimahesh any time but winters are not preffered as all the paths and mountains will be covered by snow and winters would be very harsh, let me tell you even in the months of June - September one requires a heavy jacket for protection from cold so imagine the situation in winters.

Best time to visit Manimahesh is between the parv from Krishna Janmaashtmi to Raadha ashtmi when belivers of lord Shiva come to Manimahesh for holy bath in the bone freezing cold water of Manimahesh Sarovar (Lake) and to see the glorious and uncomparable to any thing the mani of Lord SHIVA every Year

This yaatra has one condition made by lord SHIVA himself
"The one who visits Manimahesh must visit Mata Bharmani temple it is a temple in the town of Bharmour at the begining of the yaatra else your pilgrimage will be considered as an incomplete, choice is yours".
