"Rhine Campaign" refers to the Battle of Leipzig during the Napoleonic Wars.

DATE: 17 to 19 October 1813
LOCATION: Leipzig in Saxony

BELLIGERENTS:

The French were commanded by Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte with Field Marshal Michelle Ney alongside Generals Auguste De Marmont, Jean Reynier, Jacques McDonald and Nicolas Oudinot. The Italians were led by King Joachim Murat and the Poles were led by Prince Jozef Poniatowski. Supported by additional troops from the Rhine Confederation 🇸🇱. Had a strength of approximately 195K men with 900 artillery.

[ALLIES] Germany 🇩🇪, Russia 🇷🇺, Austria 🇦🇹 and Sweden 🇸🇪. The Germans were commanded by King Friedrich Wilhelm 03 and Field Marshal Gebhardt von Blucher. The Russians were commanded by Tsar Alexander 01 and General Levin August von Bennigsen. The Austrians were led by Kaiser Franz 01 and Field Marshal Karl von Schwarzenberg. The Swedes were led by Prince Karl Johan Bernadotte. Supported by the 200th Rocket Artillery Regiment of Britain 🇬🇧. Had a strength of approximately 359K men with 1500 artillery.

CASUALTIES AND LOSSES: The Axis have 38K men killed and wounded along with 36K men and 325 artillery captured. The Allies have approximately 59K men killed and wounded.
RESULTS: Allied victory and dissolution of the Rhine Confederation 🇸🇱.
