The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is already official, and this year, Samsung did something unexpected. In the past few years, Samsung has been launching its flagship phones with Exynos chipsets in Europe and Qualcomm chipsets in the US. But this year, all the S23 series phones have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, regardless of the region. This does not mean Samsung has stopped working on flagship Exynos chipsets. Recently, a report from South Korea revealed that the Exynos 2400 chipset is in the works and has been given the green light for mass production.

Today, reliable tipster Ice Universe shared the CPU configuration of Exynos 2400 on Weibo. According to this new information, this chip features a 10-core CPU which is something new since, at the moment, all the flagship chipsets by Qualcomm, Samsung & MediaTek have an octa-core CPU. As for the configuration, the Exynos 2400 reportedly features a prime Cortex-X4 CPU core, two high-frequency Cortex-A720 cores, three low-frequency Cortex-A720 cores, and four Cortex-A520 cores.

Since ARM has yet to unveil the Cortex-X4, A720, and A520, it is safe to say that we should see Exynos 2400-powered phones by the end of 2023 or in early 2024. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series might be the first to feature this chipset.
