How to fix Renault Clio mk3, Megane, scenic wipers, lights and horn (fixed)

Car initially had wipers that were not workings, both front and back. The lights also stayed on and the horn wouldn’t work?

What I did.

1. I tried to take a minimalistic approach by checking the fuses first, (f8, 20amp). All was fine

2. then went to the wiper stalk. It smelt of burnt plastic and cable. Removed and opened it.

3. Checked the wiper motor, noticed it was submerged in water that wasn’t draining. So I drained the water, took the wiper motor out to assess for any electrical damage. Apart from it being wet, it didn’t look damaged

4. Bought a new wiper stalk, Put everything back together but realised that there was a broken red wire from the light stalk going to the wiper stalk. Also opened the light stalk and found a broken wire. Fixed that and everything started working
