About our guest -

Commodore Vijaypal Singh Rawat, VSM is Ex-Marine Commando. Being from the Family of Faujis,
He too joined the prestigious National Defence Academy to continue his family legacy. Following that he was commissioned into the Indian navy, where he specialized as a Mine Clearing Diving Officer. He later become the part of elite special forces of the Indian Navy (MARCOS) in 1992.
He has commanded large scale operational assets and special operations (Marine Commando Operations) at various organizational levels ranging from operational naval units to Naval Headquarters.

He retired as the Principal Director of Special Operations & Diving in November 2020 after 34 years of service to the country.

He has been honoured with -
Chief of Naval Staff Commendation - 1994
Commander-in-Chief Commendation -2006
Vishist Seva Medal - 2017
