In this video, I will share with you how to use google maps street view on your computer to explore different parts of the world.

This tool is very useful for traveling to a new location, where you get to preview the look and feel of the place.

Go to google maps via google search or through the top side icon. You will be taken to your default location.

Now for this example, I will use Singapore Merlion as the travel destination.

Once you see the red dot on the map, start looking for the yellow man icon on the bottom right side. You can click on it, drag the icon onto the location you want to visit.

Those blue lines appearing indicate that you can explore them with google map street view.
Once dropped, it will open the street view, where you can see the environment and scenery without having to be there.

You can start to navigate the street by holding “left click” on your mouse and moving it around to check the surroundings.

Clicking the arrow will move the map forward and take you towards the direction you want.

Keep in mind that not all streets are available, especially for less visited places.

You can also use the compass on the bottom right to help you navigate the place.

I personally use google map street view to check what a hotel or airbnb and the area looks like before making a decision.

As more and more places are uploaded, we will be able to travel anywhere in the world at the comfort of our own home.
