How To Install A Surge Protector on Your AC Unit

This installation should be done by a licensed electrician, but I wanted to educate the homeowner about the process of installation and the benefits of a surge protector for your air conditioning equipment.

Overall, I recommend every homeowner have a 200 amp surge protector installed on their electrical box coming in. But surge protectors are extremely valuable for your larger pieces of home equipment as well, such as water heaters, pool heaters, and especially your air conditioning equipment.

Having this installed could save the homeowner hundreds of dollars in labor or parts should they experience power loss and or equipment damage from electrical overload.
