Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast members have shared heartfelt tributes to their beloved co-star Andre Braugher after it was announced the actor passed away at the age of 61 on Monday.

In a statement to Variety, Mr Braugher's publisher Jennifer Allen shared the actor died "after a brief illness" on Monday.

The two-time Emmy Award winner played the character of Captain Raymond Holt in the hit police comedy series from 2013 until 2021.

In one of the most poignant tributes, Braugher's on-screen husband Marc Evan Jackson shared a picture of them together with the caption: "O Captain. My Captain".

The actor is survived by his wife, Ami Brabson and sons Michael, Isiah and John.
