Isn’t it convenient that when Terri and the party arrived in this strange location we happened to rescue someone who knew just about everything we needed to know about where we are, the dangers within and how we can escape? It’s almost like that person is little more than an exposition machine in gnome form. Granted, this is one of the most universally accepted forms of an exposition machine, right up there with people fleeing in terror and the tavern owners.

What we’ve been told isn’t exactly great news, however. Until we can best the Cambion that serves as the warden, any escape we managed to achieve would be temporary, for the magic of the place would make tracking us down easy. Only the death of the Cambion will destroy that magic but that’s easier said than done with all the thralls that he has. We want to free them as our first priority, partly because we want to avoid any unnecessary combat and also because Terri hates slavery. Until we can free the thralls from their magical servitude however, we can do little to stop them from trying to kill us, so we’ll have to fight those we meet along the way. It’s unfortunate but sometimes that’s just how things are.
