The Australian Chamber Orchestra will tour Australia next month with a special new member -- a Stradivarius violin valued at $1.79 million. The violin was made in 1728 by Antonio Stradivari and will be played by the orchestra's assistant leader, Satu Vänskä.

In this video Satu performs on the Stradivarius the 3rd movement of J.S. Bach's Sonata in C Major.

The ACO's 'BaroqueVirtuosi' tour runs from 5 to 14 July, and will visit Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Wollongong.
