The Hon. Louise Bennett-Coverley O.M, O.J., M.B.E., Dip R.A.D.A., D. Litt (Hon) is one of the most influential figures in not just Jamaican music but also Jamaican Culture. Her influences can be heard and seen right across the board from how Jamaicans speak, act and even dress. It is even said that dancer Gerald Levy aka Bogle got his first break dancing on her TV program 'Ring Ding'. Miss Lou, as she is affectionately known is the main person who helped to reaffirm the Jamaican Identity. There is lot's more to be said but hopefully this tribute encourages you to go find out more for yourselves.

In the words of Miss Lou herself "Walk good! And may good duppy follow you.”
