API stands for “Application Programming Interface”, and is simply a set of instructions that allows one piece of software to talk to another and share information.

In this clip from episode 62 of “Self-Funded with Spencer” I discuss how currently most Insurance Technology is disconnected.

This means that a human being has to plug the exact same plan design and rate data into an Excel Spreadsheet for a Client Presentation, then a BenAdmin System, then an Agency Management tool and often also a CRM like #salesforce

This is time consuming, redundant, and prone to error.

An API allows this info to be shared across platforms, saving time, money and ensuring 100% accuracy.

Our view of Plansight is that not only do we bring massive efficiency to your current RFP process, but we can also be the hub for this data sharing via API.

We already have existing integrations with some of the top platforms, and are expanding our integration list regularly.
