This teaching on interdependent origination explains the operating system for all phenomena. It is the reason for everything – happiness, suffering, death, dying, and future experiences. Understanding how all things occur interdependently, and knowing what to do to produce happiness and what to refrain from to eliminate suffering is clarified. We will also more deeply understand the experience of the consciousness during the dying process. Khentrul Lodrö T'hayé Rinpoche is the abbot of Katog Mardo Tashi Choling Monastery in Tibet and the director of Katog Choling, a retreat center in Arkansas, USA. His root guru was His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche and he also studied with His Holiness Katog Moktsa Rinpoche and His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, among others. Khentrul Rinpoche is a rare holder of three Khenpo degrees, each equal to a western PhD. He oversees practice groups across North America, Australia and South Africa. Paloma Landry has been Khentrul Rinpoche’s accomplished oral and written translator for over twenty years.
