An Ode To Homesickness

Now that summer is here I will once again be uploading weekly!

This song is a couple months old and at the time I started writing it I was visiting my hometown for the first time after moving away. I was riding the buss on my way to see a friend and looked out the window to see ongoing road work as well as remodelling of the train station and it hit me that I would be here to notice all of the small and constant changes that take place there anymore. I won’t know what is new because I won’t be there to see it happen and my hometown will grow in my absence to become a little less familiar for each time I visit.
