Storm Debi DISRUPTS WCML and S&C Trains through Carlisle
Log train disappears
Engineer's trains
Delayed and disrupted Passenger services

Additional to the disruption because of the storm, engineering works over-ran on the Cumbrian Coast. I'm told that weekend engineering works at Parton, between Whitehaven and Workington over-ran because a Tamper derailed and its tamping forks got caught in the track. (don't quote me)! I've not heard the official reason! Nevertheless Rail Replacement buses were provided by Workington Transport Heritage group during the morning.
