"Group With No Name" began as singing waiters and waitresses in a Santa Monica restaurant with soon-to-be-actress Katey Sagal.

It so happened that Gene Simmons stopped in after a Kiss concert and found out that one of the waiters had gone to college with him.

After learning they were a band, Simmons stopped in on their rehersal the next day and called Casablanca Records to have them signed up to record. Everything went so quickly, their wasn't a name for the band, and referred to as a "Group With No Name" by the record executives.

After recording and releasing a couple albums and singles, they disbanded but are still friends today. Katey Sagal went on to become a successful actress, with her most notable charector being Peggy Bundy from Married With Children.
