Here are some important tips when renting a portable oxygen concentrator.
✅ Battery Life: Consider the battery life you will need, think about how long you will be away from a power source. Concentrator batteries can last anywhere from 1 to 8 hours depending on the unit and setting. If you think you may need more battery life, extra batteries can be rented.
✅ Weight: Weight is an important factor when renting a concentrator. Weight varies from a few pounds to almost 20. If you envision yourself doing active things like hiking; it might be a good suggestion to select a lightweight concentrator. Our rentals also come with either a carry bag or a rolling cart.
✅ Travel: Are you using this in a car? If you going to use the concentrator in a car, our rentals come with a DC power source that plugs into an auxiliary outlet so it can be operated or charged while driving. Are you going to fly with your rental? All the concentrators we rent are FAA approved. Keep in mind that the FAA requires that you have enough battery life to power your concentrator for at least 150% of your flight time. Carry at least two batteries on your flight, even if it's a short flight.
