3D LURE FOIL SCALES

I came up with this idea for 3D scales on lures from watching talented lure makers who hand carve every imaginable detail onto their handmade wooden lures. it was tempting to try my hand at it but I just knew I would get bored with it before I could get good at it..."know thy self?. So I came up with this simple and effective way of getting similar results without all the need for talent and patience. Best of all, with the exception of the scalloping scissors, I'm using stuff most lure makers already have and know how to use. I hope you find this informative.
