Introduction by Karen and Josh, today we are going to demonstrate repotting this large standard Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) an Australian native rainforest plant.
Tools you need for repotting large plants
Assessing the plant and the pot
Cut roots that have grown through the pot into the ground
Safely tipping the pot to avoid breakage
Loosening the plant so it can be be removed from the pot
Trimming the rootball
Potting mix selection
Replace and positioning the plant in the pot
Back filling the pot with potting mix
Watering in well to settle out air pockets
Trim branches, reshaping the plant.
